Alcatel Avalon™ V - Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot settings (password, allowed devices, etc.) on your Avalon V.

Set Up Mobile Hotspot

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & Internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.

  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot.
  4. Tap
    Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot
    .
  5. From the Setup Wi-Fi Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security
      • None
      • WPA2 PSK
    • Password
      Password can be changed.
    • Show password
      Enabled when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap
    SAVE
    .

Manage Devices

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & Internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.
    .
  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. From the 'Connected devices' section, tap a device you want to disconnect, then tap
    OK
    .
    Up to 10 devices can connect to the Mobile Hotspot at one time.

Timeout Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Network & Internet
    Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.

  3. Tap
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Timeout settings
    .
  5. Tap an option between 'Never' and '60 minutes'.
