Here's how to check settings if your Google email, contacts, calendar, etc. aren't syncing on your Tab 4 8 PLUS.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Users & accounts
    .
  3. Select the appropriate email address.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Tap
    Sync account
    .
  5. Select the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, etc.) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  6. To perform a manual sync:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon (upper-right)
    2. Tap
      Sync now
