Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

Here's how to check settings if your Tab 4 8 PLUS isn't receiving alerts for your texts and email.
The Do not disturb feature silences sound/vibration for phone calls, messages, etc., though exceptions may be allowed.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Sounds
    .
  3. Tap
    Do Not Disturb preferences
    .
  4. Tap
    Priority only allows
     then configure the options as preferred.
  5. Tap the
    Back arrow
     Back arrow icon to return to the previous page.
  6. Tap
    Block visual disturbances
     then select the preferred options.
    Tap the
    switches
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  7. Select an 'Automatic rules' schedule (e.g., Weekend, Weekight, etc.).
    To add more schedules, tap
    Add more
    .
    To delete a schedule, tap the
    Delete icon
     Delete icon to the right of the desired schedule.
  8. Tap the
    switch (upper-right)
     to turn on or off.
    If turned on, do the following:
    1. Tap
      Rule name, enter the preferred name
       then tap
      OK
      .
    2. Tap
      Days
       , select the preferred day(s) then tap
      DONE
      .
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    3. Tap
      Start time
       , adjust the start time then tap
      OK
      .
    4. Tap
      End time
       , adjust the end time then tap
      OK
      .
  9. Tap
    Do Not Disturb preferences
     then select an option (Priority only, Alarms only, Total silence).
  10. Tap
    Alarm can override end time
     to turn on or off.
