Verizon GizmoTablet™ - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Here's how to change the SIM PIN for your Gizmo Tablet or turn it on or off.
  • Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card in your device so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
  • If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to Locating the 4G SIM PIN / PUK - My Verizon Website to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    >
    Security
    .
  3. Tap
    Other security settings
    .
  4. From the SIM card lock section, tap
    Set up SIM card lock
    .
    If unavailable, ensure a SIM card is properly inserted.
  5. Tap the
    Lock SIM card switch
    to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
    To change your SIM PIN, ensure the switch is turned on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM PIN
      .
    2. Enter the old SIM PIN (current SIM PIN) then tap
      OK
      .
      The default SIM PIN is 1111.
    3. Enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
  6. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
    OK
