Verizon GizmoTablet™ - Enable / Disable App

Here's how to turn pre-installed apps on your GizmoTablet on or off.
Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Android™ device can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.
The option to
enable
 or
disable
 an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.

Enable App

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. Tap the
    All dropdown menu
     (upper-left) then select
    Disabled
    .
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right) then tap
    Show system apps
    .
  4. Tap the appropriate app.
  5. Tap
    Enable
    .

Disable App

Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. Tap the
    All dropdown menu
     (upper-left) then select
    Disabled
    .
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right) then tap
    Show system apps
    .
  4. Tap the appropriate app.
  5. Tap
    Disable
    .
    If the Disable option isn't available, navigate:
    Force Stop (upper-right)
    Force Stop (lower-right)
    .
  6. Tap
    Disable
     (lower-right).
  7. If prompted to 'replace this app with the factory version', tap
    OK
     to confirm.
