Here's how to turn 'Power mode' on or off to help manage battery performance for your Galaxy Tab A (8.0).
While enabled, 'Power mode' reduces the performance of your Galaxy Tab A (8.0) and limits vibration, location services and most background data to help improve battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Device care
    Battery
    .
  3. Tap
    Power mode
    .
    Do one of the following:
    • To turn on, tap 'Medium power saving' or 'Maximum power saving'.
      Configure any of the following settings then tap
      Apply
       :
      • Restrict background data
        Activated when a blue checkmark is present.
      • Limit CPU speed
        Activated when a blue checkmark is present.
      • Brightness
        Tap the
        Dropdown icon
         Dropdown menu icon then select the preferred setting.
    • To turn off, tap
      Optimized
