Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Wireless Emergency Alerts

Here's how to manage emergency alerts (e.g., AMBER Alerts, etc.) for your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections
    More connection settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Wireless Emergency Alerts
    .
  4. Tap
    Settings
    (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Alert type
    .
  6. Tap any of the following to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon :
    Presidential alerts cannot be turned off.
    • Extreme alert
    • Severe alert
    • AMBER alert
    • Public safety alerts
    • State / local test alerts
    • Emergency alert messages
  7. Tap the
    Back arrow
     Back icon (upper-left).
  8. Tap
    Vibrate
     to turn on or off.
  9. Tap
    Alert reminder
     then select one of the following:
    • Once (default)
    • Every 2 minutes
    • Every 15 minutes
    • Off
  10. Tap
    Speak alert message
     to turn on or off.
