Here's how to turn 'Power mode' on or off to help manage battery performance for your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.).
When turned on, 'Power mode' reduces the performance of your device and limits vibration, location services and most background data to help improve battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Device care
    Battery
    .
  3. Tap
    Power mode
     then select one of the following:
    • Optimized
       : Get the recommended balance of performance and battery life.
    • Medium power saving
       : Extend battery life by limiting some functions.
    • Maximum power saving
       : Save as much battery as possible.
  4. Configure the following settings then tap
    Apply
     :
    • Restrict background data
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Limit CPU speed
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Brightness (e.g., -5%, -10%, No decrease)
