Here's how to link or unlink duplicate contacts in your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3.
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail, Microsoft® Exchange, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Tap
    Contacts
     Contacts icon.
  3. Tap a contact.
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  5. Tap
    Add / remove linked contacts
    .
    Option varies depending on type of linked contacts.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Tap
        Link another contact
        .
      2. Select the desired contact(s).
      3. Tap
        Link
         (upper-right).
    • To unlink a contact, tap
      Unlink
       (located to the right of the contact).
