Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Install Device Software Update

Here's how to check for and install software updates on your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System updates
    .
    A system update won't be received while roaming.
  3. Tap
    Check for new system updates
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If advised that the software is up to date, tap
      OK
      .
    • If a software update is available:
      1. Tap
        Download
        .
      2. Once the download has been completed, tap
        Install Now
        .
      3. Once the installation is complete, tap
        Finish
        .
