Here's how to adjust Gmail sync settings for your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3.
Frequent account syncing can reduce battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts and backup
    Accounts
    .
  3. From the Accounts section, tap the appropriate email address.
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Tap
    Syc account
    .
  5. Tap the appropriate data sync options (e.g., Contacts, Gmail, etc.) to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon.
  6. To perform a manual synchronization:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
       Menu icon (upper-right).
    2. Tap
      Sync now
