Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Enable / Disable App
Here's how to turn pre-installed apps on your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 on or off.
Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Android device can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.
The option to enable or disable an app may only be available for apps that can't be uninstalled.
Enable App
- From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
- Navigate:.SettingsApps
- Tap theDropdown icon
(at the top) then tap
All. - Locate then tap the app name (e.g, Cloud, calculator, etc.).
- TapEnable.
Disable App
Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
- From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
- Navigate:.SettingsApps
- Tap theDropdown icon
(at the top) then tap
All. - Locate then tap the app name (e.g,, Cloud, calculator, etc.).
- TapForce stop.
- TapForce stopto confirm.
- TapDisable.
- TapDisableto confirm.
