Here's how to turn one-handed operations for your Galaxy S9 / S9+ on or off.
  • Enabling one-handed operation adjusts screen size and layout for easy controlling of the device with one hand.
  • For first-time setup, hold device in one hand then quickly slide thumb from the edge of the screen to the middle and back.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Advanced features

  3. Tap
    One-handed mode
    .
  4. Tap the
    One-handed mode switch
     to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
  5. When on, select the desired method to reduce display size:
    • Gesture
       : Swipe down in the center of the bottom edge of the screen.
    • Button
       : Double tap the Home button.
