Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ - Turn Power Saver On / Off

Here's how to turn 'Power mode' on or off to help manage battery performance for your Galaxy S9 / S9+.
When turned on, 'Power mode' reduces your device's performance and limits vibration, location services and most background data.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Device care
    Battery
    .
  3. Tap
    Power mode
    .
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • To turn off, tap
      Optimized
      .
    • To turn on:
      1. Tap 'High performance', 'Medium power saving' or 'Maximum power saving'.
      2. Tap
        Apply
        .
      3. Configure any of the following settings:
        If High performance is selected, only Brightness and Screen resolution can be adjusted.
        • Screen resolution
          Adjust using the slider.
        • Brightness
          Adjust using the slider.
        • Limit CPU speed
          Tap the switch to turn on or off.
        • Turn off Always On Display
          Tap the switch to turn on or off.
        • Restrict background data
          Tap the switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
