Turn Basic Visual Voicemail On / Off - Android™

Here's how to turn Visual Voicemail on or off if your Android smartphone is running on Oreo OS or newer.
The steps below apply to the following Android devices running Oreo OS (8.0) or newer software:
  • Alcatel Avalon™ V

  • Pixel™, a phone by Google / XL
  • Google Pixel 2 / 2XL

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Phone icon
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Settings
    .
    If unavailable, swipe up to display all apps then tap the
    Phone icon
    .
  2. Tap
    Voicemail
    .
    If unavailable, tap
    Call Settings
     then tap
    Voicemail
    .
  3. Tap the
    Visual Voicemail switch
     to turn on or off.
    If unavailable, tap
    Notifications
    .
