Disable or Enable Bixby Key - Samsung
Here's how to disable or enable the Bixby key on your Samsung device.
- Bixby requires an active Samsung ID.
- If the Samsung ID credentials can't be remembered, they can be retrieved or reset.
- Completion of initial setup is required to manage the Bixby key or Bixby voiceRefer to the appropriate Android™ version to setup your Samsung device for Bixby:
- Android 8.x setup
- Android 9.x setup
- Android 10.x setup
Disable Bixby Key (Android 8.x)
- From the Bixby screen, tap theSettings icon

to disable the Bixby key functionality.

Enable Bixby Key (Android 8.x)

to enable the Bixby key functionality.

Change Bixby Key Settings (Android 9.x or newer)
The Bixby key cannot be disabled on Samsung devices with
Android
9.x software or newer.- From the Bixby screen, navigate:.Menu iconSettingsIf necessary, navigate: .
- TapBixby Key.
- Select 'Single press' or 'Double press' to open Bixby.Selected when a blue dot is present.
- If preferred, select an app or run a quick command when pressing the Bixby button by tapping the switch to the right of either option to turn on
- Tap 'Open app' or 'Run quick command' then follow the onscreen instructions.
