Here's how to clear cached data if your Galaxy S8 / S8+ runs slow, crashes or resets, or apps freeze.

Clear Individual App Cache

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    /These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. Ensure All is selected.
    /If needed, tap the
    Dropdown icon
     Dropdown menu icon then select
    All
    .
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    /If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Show system apps
    .
  5. Tap
    Storage
    .
  6. Tap
    Clear Cache
    .
    /This option may not be available for some apps.

Clear All Cached Data
