Here's how to turn download booster for your Galaxy S8 / S8+ on or off.
Utilizing download booster may result in additional data charges depending on your price plan.
  • Download booster allows for faster downloads of content 30 MB or larger (e.g., movies or large files) by utilizing Wi-Fi and LTE networks simultaneously.
  • In order for Download booster to work, Auto update apps over Wi-Fi only must be disabled (refer to the "Update Apps Using Wi-Fi Only" section).
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections Connections icon
    More connection settings

  3. Tap the
    Download booster switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    When enabled and active, notification of download progress appears on screen Download booster 4G icon or in the notification panel.
  4. If "Turn on Download booster" pop-up appears, tap
