Here's how to turn Android Beam on or off using your Galaxy S8 / S8+.
Android Beam can be utilized to transfer data (e.g. web pages, videos, place page in Maps) from one Near Field Communication (NFC) capable device to another when only a few centimeters apart, typically back to back.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Connections Settings icon
    NFC and payment
    .
  3. Tap the
    NFC switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    If presented, review the message then tap
    OK
    .
  4. When enabled, tap the
    Android Beam
    switch
     to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
