Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Adjust Account Sync Settings

Here's how to view sync settings on your Galaxy S8 / S8+ if you're not receiving email and app notifications.
Frequent account syncing can have a negative impact on battery life.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Accounts and backup Accounts icon
    Account
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate account then tap
    Sync account
    .
    Multiple accounts may appear.
  4. Turn the sync settings on or off as applicable.
    A setting is turned on when the switch is in the blue position Switch On icon.
    Available options may vary depending on the account type.
