Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Set Ringtones / Notification Sounds

Here's how to select or change ringtones / notification sounds on your Galaxy S8 / S8+.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Sounds and vibration Sound and Vibration icon
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To set a ringtone:

      • Tap
        Ringtone
         and select a tone.
    • To adjust the Sound mode:
      • Tap
        Sound mode
         then select one of the following:
        • Sound
        • Vibration
        • Mute
          Tap
          Temporary mute
           to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon, then select the mute duration (i.e., 1hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, custom.).
    • To adjust the volume:
      • Tap
        Volume
         and adjust any of the following using the sliders:
        • Ringtone
        • Media
        • Notifications
        • System
    • To adjust vibration settings"
      • Tap
        Vibration intensity
         and adjust any of the following using the sliders:
        • Incoming call
        • Notifications
        • Vibration feedback
        • Hard press vibration feedback
