Here's how to check for or to install software updates on your Galaxy S8 / S8+.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    System updates System updates icon
    .
    A system update won't be received while roaming.
  3. Tap
    Check for system updates
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If advised the software is up to date, tap
      OK
      .
    • If the software update is available:
      • Tap
        Download Now
        .
      • Once the download has been completed, tap
        Install Now
        .
