Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Enable / Disable App
Here's how to turn pre-installed apps on your Galaxy S8 / S8+ on or off.
Some apps that come pre-installed (e.g., calculator, Google Play™ Store, Verizon Cloud, Call Filter, etc.) on your Android™ device can't be uninstalled; however, they can be disabled (turned off) so they don't appear in the list of apps on your device.

- From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
- Navigate:.SettingsApps
- Ensure 'All apps' is selected (upper-left).If necessary, tap theDropdown iconthen selectAll.
- Locate then select the appropriate app.If system apps aren't visible, tap the.Menu icon
(upper-right)
Show system apps - TapEnable.
Disable App
Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
- From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
- Navigate:.SettingsApps
- Ensure All apps is selected (upper-left).If necessary, tap theDropdown iconthen selectAll.
- Locate then select the appropriate app.If system apps aren't visible, tap theMenu iconShow system apps.
- TapForce Stop.
- To confirm, tapForce Stop.
- TapDisable.
- To confirm, tapDisable.
