Apple iPhone - Set Touch ID Preferences

Here's how to enable or disable Touch ID for use with screen lock and purchases.
If you need to set preferences for Touch ID on your Apple® iPhone®, follow these step-by-step instructions.
The steps below only apply to the iPhone models with Touch ID.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  1. From the Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Touch ID & Passcode
    .
    If an app isn't available on your Home screen, swipe left to access the App Library.
  2. Enter your passcode.
  3. Tap the
    iPhone Unlock switch
     to turn fingerprint on Switch On or off Switch Off.
  4. Tap the
    iTunes & App Store switch
     to turn fingerprint on or off for App and iTunes Store purchases.
  5. Tap the
    Wallet & Apple Pay switch
     to turn fingerprint on or off for purchases.
