Apple iPhone - Set Up Touch ID

Here's how to add a fingerprint and enable Touch ID on your iPhone.
The steps below only apply to the Apple® iPhone® models with Touch ID.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and free of moisture, dirt, oil, lotion, dyes, etc.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Touch ID & Passcode
    .
    If an app isn't available on your Home screen, swipe left to access the App Library.
  2. Enter your passcode then tap
    Add a Fingerprint
    .
    A maximum of 5 fingerprints can be added.
  3. Place your finger over the Home button then follow on-screen prompts to capture your fingerprint.
  4. When prompted, tap
    Continue
     then follow the on-screen prompts.
  5. When completed, tap
    Continue
    .
    If prompted, enter a passcode.
  • To edit a saved fingerprint name, tap the fingerprint name, update the info then tap
    Done
    .
