Windows 10 - Install Device Software Updates

Here's how to check for or to install software updates on your Windows 10 device.
Ensure the device is connected to a power source during the update.
  • If your device isn't running Windows® 10, refer to the Windows 8 instructions.
  • An active Verizon 4G LTE SIM card is necessary to complete the update.
  • An update can also be done over a Wi-Fi network.
    Using the Mobile Broadband connection may impact your data usage allowance and result in additional charges.
  1. From the Windows desktop, navigate:
    Start Start menu icon

    Update & Security.
    Utilize the touchscreen (if available) or mouse to select on-screen options.
  2. From the Windows Update section, select
    Check for updates

  3. If prompted, select
    Restart now
    .
