Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and / or limits on your Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016).
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
  2. Tap
    Data usage
     then do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap
        Bill cycle and data warning
        .
      2. Tap
        Start billing cycle on
        .
      3. Select the appropriate date then tap
        SET
        .
        Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
        For a Prepaid device:
        1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the
          Dropdown icon
           Drop down icon (to the right).
        2. Tap
          Change cycle
          .
        3. Select the appropriate date then tap
          SET
          .
          Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
      1. Tap
        Bill cycle and data warning
        .
      2. Tap the
        Set data warning switch
         to turn on or off.
      3. Tap
        Data warning
        .
      4. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap
        SET
        .
        For a Prepaid device:
        1. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap
          SET
          .
        2. Tap the number to the left of the black line.
        3. If presented with Data usage alert message, tap
          OK
          .
        4. Tap
          Alert me about data usage switch
           to enable or disable.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Mobile data (cellular data) is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g. Browser, Email, Market, etc.), a Wi-Fi connection can be used or Mobile data must be manually re-enabled (overage charges may apply).
      1. Tap
        Bill cycle and data warning
        .
      2. Tap the
        Limit mobile data usage switch
          to turn on or off. If presented with Data usage limit screen, review the message then tap
        OK
        .
      3. Tap
        Data limit
        .
      4. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap
        SET
        .
        For a Prepaid device:
        1. Tap
          Limit mobile data usage
           to enable or disable.
        2. If presented, review the message then tap
          OK
          .
        3. Tap the number to the left of the orange line.
        4. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap
          SET
          .
