Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

If your Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) isn't receiving calls or alerts for texts and email, here's how to check Do Not Disturb settings.
  • The Interruptions feature allows sound/vibration (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are always considered priority interruptions.
  • When Sound profile is set to "No exceptions " (silent mode), all notifications, including alarms, are turned off.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
    Sounds and vibration
    .
    These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap
    Do not disturb
    .
  3. Tap the
    Turn on now switch
     to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon.
  4. If preferred, tap the
    Turn on as scheduled switch
    to turn on Switch on icon or off Switch off icon then adjust the following settings:
    This setting turns Do not disturb on and off automatically at scheduled times.
    1. Tap
      Days
      to make selections then tap the
      Back arrow icon Back icon
      .
    2. Tap
      Start time
      to set time then tap
      DONE
      .
    3. Tap
      End time
      to set time then tap
      DONE
      .
  5. Tap
    Allow exceptions
    then select one of the following:
    No exceptions
    Mute all calls and alerts.
    Alarms only
    Allow only alarms to sound or vibrate while Do not disturb is turned on.
    Custom
    Set customer exceptions that can sound or vibrate while Do not disturb is turned on.
