Here's how to manage how notifications appear on your Samsung Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) when the screen is locked.
Lock screen notifications for apps (e.g., text messages, Snapchat® , etc.) can be customized to be shown or hidden when your screen is locked.
If a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® account is set up on the device, notifications are off by default.
  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Apps icon
    Settings Settings icon
    Lock screen and security
    .
    These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap
    Notifications
    .
    This setting is only available if a Screen lock type is set up.
    Notifications must be turned on Switch on to access setup.
  3. Tap
    Hide content
     to turn on or off.
  4. Tap
    Notification icons only
     to turn on or off.
  5. Tap
    All apps
     to turn on or off.
    To adjust notification settings for individual apps, tap the corresponding switch on or off.
  6. For Prepaid device:
    1. Tap
      Notifications on lock screen.
    2. Tap
      Content on lock screen
       then select an option:
      • Show content
      • Hide content
      • Do not show notifications
