Here's how to clear cached data if your Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 edge runs slowly, crashes or resets, or apps freeze.
Follow the steps below to clear temporary files and free up storage on your device without losing info.

Clear Individual App Cache

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    Apps
    .
  3. Ensure All apps is selected (upper-left).
    If necessary, tap the
    Dropdown icon
     Dropdown icon (upper-right) then select
    All apps
    .
  4. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu (upper-right) >
    Show system apps
    .
  5. Tap
    Storage
    .
  6. Tap
    CLEAR CACHE
    .
    This option may not be available for some apps.

Clear All Cached Data
