Power Up in Safe Mode - LG G Pad 8.3 LTE

Here's how to boot your LG G Pad 8.3 LTE into Safe Mode to help determine if an app is causing it to freeze, reset or run slow.
Safe Mode puts your phone in a diagnostic state (returned to default settings) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, reset or run slow.
An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
    1. To power off, press and hold the
      Power button
       (located on the top-right edge with the charging port facing down) until the Tablet options prompt appears then release.
    2. From the Tablet options prompt, tap
      Power off
       .
    3. From the Tablet will power off prompt, tap
      OK
       to confirm.
      Allow several seconds for the device to power off.
  2. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the LG logo appears on screen then release.
    Allow several seconds for the logo to appear.
  3. With LG logo still on screen, press and hold the
    Volume down button
     .
  4. Continue to hold the
    Volume down button
     until "Safe mode" appears in the lower-left of the unlock screen then release.
    This may take up to 30 seconds.
  5. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality .
