Syncing with iTunes - Info (Contacts, Mail Accounts, etc.)

Here's how to sync iTunes email, contacts, calendar, etc.
For additional sync options, refer to Syncing with iTunes.
If choosing
MobileMe
: Support is provided by Apple.
If choosing
Sync Calendars
: From the "Sync Calendars" section or dropdown menu, choose the email account(s).

Sync Contacts

  1. Enable/Disable
    Sync Contacts (with)
    .
    Enabled when checkmark is present.
  2. From the "Sync Contacts with" section or dropdown menu choose one of the following options:
    If presented click
    Switch / Cancel
    .
    Options vary depending upon installed software.
    • Google Contacts
    • Windows Contacts
    • Yahoo! Address Book
    • Outlook Contacts (does not support Outlook Express or Click To Run).
    • (etc.)
  3. Click
    Configure
    ./uicontrol>.
  4. If prompted, enter the account user ID / password then click
    OK
    .
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • All contacts selected
    • Selected groups
  6. Click
    Apply
    .

Sync Mail Accounts

  1. From the "Sync Mail Accounts" section or dropdown menu, choose the email account(s):
    For Macintosh choose the email account(s).

Bookmarks

  1. Enable/Disable Sync Bookmarks.
    Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  2. From the "Sync bookmarks" section or dropdown menu, choose the browser option (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
  3. If available, enable/disable Sync notes
    Enabled when a checkmark is present.

Advanced

  1. From the "Replace information on this iPad/iPhone" section, choose any of the following options:
    • Contacts
    • Calendars
    • Mail Accounts
    • Bookmarks
    • Notes
