Reply to a Visual Voicemail Message - Motorola

Here's how to reply to a Visual Voicemail message from your Motorola smartphone via the Voicemail app, text message or email.
Only Verizon wireless customers can receive Visual Voicemail messages.

Voicemail

  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Voicemail
     Visual Voicemail app.
    If unavailable, from the apps list tap
    Verizon
     then tap
    Voicemail
    .
  2. From the Visual Voicemail Inbox, touch and hold a message.
  3. Tap
    Reply
    .
  4. To add an introduction message, tap
    Record
     (at the bottom) to begin recording the voice mail message.
  5. When appropriate, tap
    Stop
     to discontinue recording.
  6. To review the message, tap the
    Play button
     (lower-right).
    To re-record the message before sending, tap
    Record
    , tap
    OK
     to confirm then repeat step 4.
  7. Tap
    Voicemail
    .
  8. From the "To" field, enter the 10-digit mobile number.
    As the number is entered, a matching contact may appear and can be tapped at any time.
    Repeat this step as necessary to add additional recipients.
  9. Tap
    Record
     (at the bottom) to begin recording the voice mail message.
  10. When appropriate, tap
    Stop
     to discontinue recording.
  11. To review the message, tap the
    Play button
     (lower-left; above the 'Re-record' option).
    To re-record the message before sending, tap
    Re-record
    , tap
    OK
     to confirm then repeat step 2.
  12. Tap
    Send
     (lower-right).

Text Message

  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Voicemail
     Visual Voicemail app.
    If unavailable, from the apps list tap
    Verizon
     then tap
    Voicemail
    .
  2. From the Visual Voicemail Inbox, touch and hold a message.
  3. Tap
    Reply

  9. From the Subject field, edit the subject (if desired).
  10. From the message body, enter a message.
  11. Tap
    Send
     (upper-right).
